How ballooning works

A hot air balloon flight is a unique experience that lets you enjoy breathtaking views from a completely new viewpoint. This is how it works:

Preparation and Inflation

The process begins with preparing the hot-air balloon and inflating it. During this stage, the pilot and technical team carefully inspect the hot air balloon to ensure that it is in perfect condition and that all systems are functioning. Once the pre-flight check has been completed, hot air is pumped into the balloon to create the thrust needed for take-off.

Take-off and Flight

Once the hot-air balloon is fully inflated and ready for flight, the passengers get on board and the pilot begins take-off. With a gentle tilt, the hot air balloon lifts off from the ground and begins to slowly make its ascent into the sky. During the flight, the pilot constantly monitors weather conditions and wind patterns to ensure that the experience is safe and comfortable for everyone on board.

Exploration during the flight

Once in the air, passengers can enjoy the breathtaking view of the landscape below. The hot air balloon floats gently through the sky, giving passengers the chance to admire the beauty of nature and the breathtaking views below. During the flight, the pilot provides interesting information about the areas through which the balloon is flying, making the whole experience that much richer.

Safe Landing

At the end of the flight, the pilot looks for a suitable place to land. Using his experience and skill, the pilot guides the hot air balloon to the ground and lands it gently, ensuring that everyone on board is safe and at ease.

Safety first and foremost

The safety of our passengers is our top priority. Before every flight, we run very rigorous safety checks and follow strict protocols to ensure a safe and enjoyable flying experience for everyone. Our Pilots all have the following flight certification: Aircraft Operator Cert. no. I-148 B and Aerial Work Cert. No. I-094LA. You are in Very Good Hands!

The pilot carries out a rigorous inspection of the hot air balloon to ensure that it is in perfect condition for flying. He checks the structure, cables, panels and fabrics for any damage or abnormalities.

In addition to the balloon itself, the pilot carefully checks all the other equipment, including the burner, the gas tanks, cables and baskets. He ensures that everything is in excellent working order and well maintained.

The pilot carefully analyzes the weather forecast for the flight area, taking into account such factors as wind direction and velocity, temperature and general weather conditions. He then decides whether or not conditions are favorable for the flight and whether it is safe to take off.

The pilot holds a pre-flight briefing with his crew and passengers, during which he explains the flight plan, the safety rules to be followed on board and the procedures to be followed in the event of an emergency.

The pilot ensures that all crew members and passengers know the safety rules and procedures to be followed during the flight. He/she provides clear instructions on how to enter and exit the balloon safely and how to behave during the flight.

The pilot checks that all the crew and passengers are wearing the appropriate safety equipment, such as life jackets and helmets.

If necessary, the pilot communicates with local air traffic control to communicate the flight details and coordinate access to the airspace.

The pilot carefully decides on the most appropriate landing site, looking for a safe and accessible area for the descent.
